Magnolia Spring

The Magnolias are in bloom in Ottawa, a sure sign Spring is here and boy does it smell nice. I spent a beautiful day at the Arboretum on Friday. I visited the Fletcher Wildlife Centre, even saw a beaver in the large pond. I must have snapped over 1GB of photographs. Many of them? Magnolias. They are now being offered in my shop, individually and as a set.
Also? Thank you. In honour of the 400+ sales in my shop in the first five months, I will be slipping a little something extra into the next few orders that I receive.

Spring has sprung

It’s been a while since my last post here. Life has been busy. Too busy. I am hoping things will settle down on the Real Job front and give me more time to shoot and process and devote to my Fun Job. Also? Have another Give Away.
I have reorganised things, done some Spring cleaning. There is now a section devoted to sets, special sizes and sales. I’ve created listings for Your Choice of photo at 10×13 or 11×11 as well as sets of four 5×5 and 8×8 options.
I am also running a new Buy One, Get One promotion for Spring Fling:
- Buy a photo, chose another photo.
- Buy two photos, choose two more free.
- Buy three photos, choose three more free.
You get the idea, yes? Yes!

Metallic photos now available

If you have never seen a Metallic Photograph, well, you don’t know what you’re missing. The sheen, the colour, the depth. They look almost three dimensional. And the quality of the paper; superb, in a word.
I am now offering specific photographs on Kodak Endura Metallic Paper; Fiery Autumn, Wood nymph, Goldfinch, Small Wonders, the Umpossible and Hydrangea, blushing. Prices are 5$ more per print than the non Metallic photos at the same size. If the demand is there I will make all photos available over the next few weeks.

Congratulations to Marci Nafziger, my second Grand Prize winner of four 8×8 photographs and to Shira Anklewicz, winner of the runner up prize, an I brake for bokeh photography calendar! Both their names were randomly selected yesterday from over 120 entires in a very successful Give Away. Thank you to all who entered.

Tickle, tickle – new item available in my shop

It’s only a harvest moon, being tickled by some big old trees, but it wouldn’t be make believe if you were here with me. I saw the moon yesterday morning as I went into work, it was low on the horizon, over a field, the tops of the trees looked like they were tickling its big old belly. The inspiration for this photo. Another that makes me smile.
